COVID-19 coronavirus strain is now a known pandemic event worldwide. Here’s what that means for your insurance.

Travel Insurance

There are many components to travel insurance.  Your policy(ies) may include coverage for emergency medical assistance while travelling or trip cancellation features.

The majority of Trip Interruption and Cancellation travel insurance policies exclude coverage for a known event like COVID-19.

The requirements of travel conduct for Canadians and visitors to Canada issued by our government and countries of residence should be adhered to.

Health Insurance

COVID-19 is a recognized illness. You and your family members covered under your supplemental/individual health insurance may require services and treatments. Please refer to your specific policy contract for details on qualifying expenses for benefit reimbursement.

Your plan may include access to online health information resources. The information provided by your insurer is medically reviewed and trustworthy.
